I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
