Soccer Star Aaron Ramsey Boosts Incentive for Lost Dog in Mexico to £15k
Welsh football star Ramsey has increased the bounty for leads about his vanished dog Halo to $$20k.
The former Arsenal and Cardiff City player, who now represents the Mexican club Pumas in Mexico City, mentioned that Halo was spotted in San Miguel de Allende, located in the Guanajuato state region.
The beagle, who went missing on 9 October, was equipped with a tracking device, and the footballer shared a map pinpoint of her last known location.
"Any news regarding our pet Halo kindly get in touch with us. Big reward for reuniting with her. We are all hoping she's ok and will return to our side quickly," Ramsey wrote on social media.
Initial Offer and Emotional Pleas
Ramsey first announced that his dog had disappeared two weeks ago and has subsequently posted several images of the cherished dog on Instagram.
A $$10k bounty was initially offered, but with lack of updates on the dog's location after a week, Ramsey and his loved ones doubled the amount.
"All we desire is Halo home," he said in a further plea on social media after the decade-old dog was lost.
The most recent photograph post is a black and white photo of the beagle sleeping, its head lying in the curve of Ramsey's elbow, with the caption: "What I'd do to embrace you one last time Halo."
Family's Concerns and Background
Ramsey has also circulated a statement from his spouse Colleen on social media mentioning they have some "pressing concerns" about the disappearance and are concerned the household "may never receive answers".
"To this day we haven't found Halo. It is unlikely we will ever," his wife's update stated.
The Welsh skipper signed with Mexican premier team Club Universidad Nacional in recent months and made his debut in Liga MX in the eighth month.
